Comprehensive Occupational Medicine for Employers and Injured Workers

Rockford Orthopedics' Ortho On-Site is an Occupational Health service focused on providing employers with prompt on-location response to work injuries and illnesses, specialized orthopedic follow-up care, and extensive injury/illness management services.

Our goals are to:

  • Provide early and accurate medical diagnosis and effective treatment plans.
  • Provide comprehesive injury /illness communication to employers
  • Provide medically-appropriate restrictions when necessary for acute and chronic injuries.
  • Provide a team effort toward unrestricted duty as quickly as medically possible.

Ortho On-Site helps reduces costs by providing:

  • Upfront accurate diagnosis, resulting in fewer initial visits.
  • On-site injury assessment, treatment, and substance of abuse testing requiring less time away from work.
  • Specialist-driven medical treatment protocols delivering the most effective targeted treatment for both acute and chronic injuries and illnesses.
  • On-site assistance with injury-incident investigation to clarify causality issues.
  • Up-to-date communication with employers to help them better manage their injured workers.

Ortho On-SiteSM Services:

Simple Care up to 30 minutes on-site treatment requiring minimal medical intervention

for puncture wounds, splinters, abrasions, contusions, muscle strains and sprains.

Extended Care 30 - 45 minutes on-site treatment of non-life threatening, more involved medical intervention

of superficial lacerations, minor burns, medication education, suture removal, wound/infection assessment, nail drilling, involved wound closures of more than one inch length or uncontrolled bleeding.

Concentrated Care more than 45 minutes on-site treatment determined to require intensive evaluation and medical intervention

for back pain of more than 48 hours from time of onset, X-rays, MRI, or physician involvement.

Consultative on-site services billed hourly and include:

  • Assistance to triage injury/illness
  • Incident investigation
  • Case review & recommendation
  • Ergonomic job evaluation
  • Assistance with job-placement to accommodate work restrictions
  • Wellness & safe workplace practice assistance
  • Regulatory guidance with OSHA record keeping
  • Baseline and annual mandatory testing & training
  • Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) & American's with Disability Act (ADA) education
